Role: PVT Engineer D Level
Plant Working: 6 days working week Mon-Sat

Department: The role will be based at the JLR Pune Plant, reporting to PD Sr. Manager in Bangalore to represent UK Engineering within Plant (Metrix reporting into Pune plant manager)
Role: Responsible for supporting and communicating all Engineering related activities, within the Pune Manufacturing Plant, across all vehicle carlines and all engineering functions for launch and steady state.
Key Responsibilities :
Manufacturing Quality support
Working directly with Pune manufacturing teams to understand and communicate all issues arising during the manufacturing process to key stakeholders
Driving projects within the UK teams to contain and fix any issues identified.
Coaching in the use of clear and concise problem definitions and problem solving tools to six sigma methodologies and ensuring adherence to standard processes and templates at all times.
In Market Customer Warranty prevention
Analyse and Report out on quality issues relating to locally produced Vehicles
Liaise with UK engineering teams to drive resolutions to customer quality, Engineering led projects.
Update local Stakeholders on status of customer quality, Engineering led projects
Work with UK Engineering teams to identify and understand applicable engineering changes
Assist Local manufacturing teams to understand all engineering changes and how they affect Pune plant
Raise local temporary engineering deviations when required
Approve temporary engineering deviations as required
Check for new UK engineering team led temporary engineering deviations that affect India
Manage Pune specific temporary engineering deviations to ensure they are live and authorized
Ensure all Pune engineering deviations are understood and agreed with UK engineering teams
The successful applicant will need the following skills and qualifications:
Proven people management, coaching, leadership and decision making skills
Strong Engineering design and development experience.
Knowledge of Engineering and Launch processes.
Fully conversant with Manufacturing Quality standards.
Proven track record in delivering results on complex issues in pressurized environment.
Experienced problem solver and strong advocate of 8D, DMAIC and problem solving techniques
Preferred work experience in vehicle integration
Educational qualifications: BE Engineer Minimum
